France Gall, French Singer Who Won 1965 Eurovision Song Contest and Inspired ‘My Way,’ Dies at 70

French singer France Gall has died. She was 70. Gall, who owned France’s pop charts for decades and who inspired “My Way,” died Sunday morning in Paris’ American Hospital.  Cause of death was a severe infection complicated by cancer, according to her publicist.
