Having just read an article written by one of the contributors to the blog, I was inspired to write these words.
I just read a wonderful article written by Alameda Allen, one of the finest writers on The Latest. It was written by a woman who believes with all her heart in God. In reading her words, I was inspired to write this article.
It is not easy coming to terms with growing old, but it is important that we keep thinking positively, even when life isn't exactly as we would like it to be.
Going into deep detail about my problems will undoubtedly not serve any useful purpose, but after reading her words, I realized that attitude is what truly counts.
Undoubtedly, there are other people in the same position out in the reading public who will read what I have written here, and I am trying with all my heart to believe that I am fortunate to still be alive. Even though my health could be better, I have to be grateful for still being here and able to write and think. These are far more significant then feeling sorry for myself.
Growing up is a lifelong project that we all must accept as everyone's reality. God is still watching over me, and although I wish that things were better, simply being alive to experience the joys that each day can still offer seems to be more important than dwelling on the negatives that life brings my way.
I am very grateful to this wonderful woman for sharing her thoughts with all of us, and they are a gift that God has sent in my direction.
Undoubtedly, someone who is hopefully reading what I have written here may well be facing the same experiences. However, the inspiration for writing this article came to me courtesy of this wonderful blog. It would appear to be more important as we face the negative effects of age that we continue to grow as human beings, and count our blessings every day we reman on this planet. I sincerely hope that there will be someone who reads this who will gain strength and hope from them.
When I taught the words of Plato, I discovered then that learning is what life is truly about. We can't always expect it to be exactly as we wish it could be, but it would appear to be more important that as we face the negative effects of age, that we continue to grow as human beings and count our blessings daily.
I sincerely hope that there will be someone who reads what I have written here who will gain strength from them.
