Marlene Geiser was, among many things, a regular editorial contributor to THE LATEST. Her husband provided this obituary.
"April is the cruelest month of the year" so wrote T.S. Elliot. April was the death of my dearest friend, lover, companion, poet and teacher. Marlene, who preferred Mickey, left this life on Tuesday April 27.
What a wonderful time we spent together.
At age six, Mickey was accepted by Julliard School of Music. She was a graduate of The School of Performing Arts in New York. Her Classmates included Marlon Brando. Mickey loved to tell how she met him.
With a B.A. degree from Lake Forrest, she also received an M.A. from UNLV where she taught Political Science. She loved to tell how many of her former students when they saw her would say how wonderful a professor she was.
Mickey is the author of children's books, a novel, a book of poems, and a book we collaborated in writing.
I know you are in a better place -- I will be with you, my love, in time.
