The Jaguars have already beaten the Steelers and Rams this season. The Rams have already beaten the Saints. The Panthers have beaten the Patriots and Vikings - and they nearly beat the Eagles. But the Saints have beaten the Panthers - twice. Confused? What does this tell us?

What it tells me is this: never mind that the top four teams are off this weekend; Saturday and Sunday will serve up NFL football at its nerve-wracking best.

The Rams and Jaguars looked lethargic Sunday - and perhaps that is understandable - but we will soon get to see if they still have the momentum that drove the two young teams to exciting heights this season. Meanwhile, NFC South rivals Saints and Panthers meet for the third time this season, and the upstart Titans try to show that they are not a fluke.
